According to this ->
[link] there is supposed to be a new type called the "Fairy" type. Many familiar Pokémon are supposed to be retyped as this "Fairy" type. They are: Cleffa, Clefairy, Clefable, Igglybuff, Jigglypuff, Wigglytuff, Happiny, Chansey, Blissey, Mime Jr., Mr. Mime, Togepi, Togetic, Togekiss, Celebi (which already has two types), Snubbull and Granbull, Luvdisc, Uxie, Mespirit and Azelf.
The newest Eeveelution, Syvleon, is supposed to be of this type too, though it looks more like a Normal type to me. See here:
[link] This "Fairy" type is supposed to be weak to Poison and Steel, immune to Dragon, super effective against Dragon, Dark, and Fighting, and Fire and Psychic-type Pokemon take half damage from it.
Honestly, I really don't see how a "Fairy" can beat or be immune to a Dragon, I honestly see a Dragon winning over the Fairy hands down as Dragons are more scary and ferocious. The Dragon type isn't really that overpowered as the Psychic type was in Generation 1. I mean come on, have either a Pokémon that is either a Dragon, Water or Ice type or have a Pokémon with either of those type of moves and Dragon type Pokémon are not much trouble at all.
Also, I don't see how Snubbull and Granbull are "fairies" as their classification in the Pokédex are the Fairy Pokémon. I see them more as a dog/canine Pokémon, since they more look like bulldogs. How the flippin' hell are they fairies?
How is a fairy weak against Poison and Steel? These weaknesses make no sense as does their immunity to Dragon. The other types have their strengths, weaknesses and immunities as many Pokémon veterans, including myself, know but they
ACTUALLY make sense, such as Fire beats Grass, Grass beats Water and Water beats Fire and so on.
To me, this "Fairy" type makes no sense at all. I think it shouldn't be done in the games, I think having 17 types is enough as there are 649 Pokémon species with one or two of those 17 types. As for these fan-made types, I see that the types that are already exist in the games suit these types to me:

=

,

and

Fire produces light from burning things, Ampharos is used in lighthouses as beacons and Psychic are weak to Dark types and Solrock makes light from spinning it's body. Also, Espeon is classified as the Sun Pokémon for it's species classification in the Pokédex.

and

=

Look at Magnemite and it's evolved forms, they are technological in appearance. The same can be said about Klink, Beldum, Bronzor and their evolved forms.

=

Only for Solrock, Lunatone, Deoxys, Elygem and Beheeyem. These 5 Pokémon species come from space and they
are Psychic types.

=

Grimer, Muk, Koffing, Weezing, Trubbish and Garbodor are based off of water, air and land pollutions. Not to mention that the Scientist Trainer class in the games use Poison type Pokémon. And nuclear waste is often called
toxic waste.
So, anyway, I hope that this "Fairy" type is false because it does not make sense in comparison to the 17 types of the series. Does anyone else think this so-called "Fairy" type and that changing some Pokémon species who have a type, such as Clefairy, unnecessary? Really, these Pokémon don't need changed and they are fine as they are.
